My name is Rachel Thorpe, and I am an administration assistant for PAUA Early Childhood Home Based Care Service. I work for PAUA in the afternoon, as in the morning I work in the office for our church – St Paul’s Presbyterian Parish, Whanganui.
My family moved here from Zimbabwe in April 2009. We came to Whanganui as this is where my husband was offered a job, and we are all very happy to be in New Zealand. In July 2014 we became citizens of this beautiful country. We have two sons – Keith, 28, who lives in Rotorua with his wife Kelly and recently had twin daughters, so we are now proud grandparents; and Craig is 25, still living at home, finishing his studies to be an accountant.
My husband’s parents and brother live in Rotorua. I have a sister in Scotland, and a sister and brother in South Africa.
My interests are going to church on Sundays, sewing, reading, watching cooking programmes, walking in the mornings, travelling and visiting places in New Zealand.
I am very much a TV supporter of the All Blacks and Black Caps.Back to Our Team
